The ominous vibes are all around, with Maya Hawke’s Robin telling Steve (Joe Keery), “I have a terrible feeling it might not work out for us this time.” Elsewhere in the trailer, Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) tells Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), “I know you’re frightened. You’re terribly frightened by what you’ve seen, but I’m not gonna lie to you. Your friends are not prepared for this fight. Hawkins will fall.” Will (Noah Schnapp) warns Mike (Finn Wolfhard) that big bad Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) “won’t stop until he’s taken everyone.” Sadie Sink as Max is seen hitting play on her tape player, cueing up Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” once more. Fan-favorite newbie Eddie Munson (Joe Quinn) clutches a guitar, Lucas (Caleb McLoughlin) packs a mean punch, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) braves the Upside Down version of the Creel house and more. Vecna tells Eleven, “It’s over. Now I just want you to watch … your friends have lost.” The trailer also gives brief glimpses at Nancy (Natalia Dyer) out of the Upside Down, as well as Eleven in front of a massive explosion in the desert and using her powers in the ultra-creepy Creel house—so there may be hope for her and the Hawkins crew after all.
