Dreaming about spring, flowers, and all the spring flavors. The perfect solution to any spring dessert is carrot cake. With the gorgeous, vibrant and fragrant flavors of the carrot all wrapped in a sweet cream cheese frosting. So naturally, I had to share my family’s favorite carrot cake recipe with all of you! There is something so comforting about these flavors that truly reminds me of home.
What’s the story behind it?
Carrot cake is a generational recipe that has been passed down in my family. I basically took our family recipe and elevated some flavors in it to make it a bit more special. There is something so magical about making this cake from scratch with my loved ones nearby.
