What is Crashing Through the Snow about?
As the parents of two girls, Maggie (Amy Acker) and her ex-husband Jeff (Kristian Bruun) have always been friends first. When Jeff’s new girlfriend, Kate (Brooke Nevin) invites Maggie along on their ski vacation, she jumps at the chance to spend the holidays with her daughters. She soon feels like a third wheel on this family vacation until Kate’s brother, Sam (Warren Christie) shows up announced. Always in his sister’s shadow, Sam convinces Maggie to team up to give her daughters the best Christmas ever - and the chance for them to both shine in the spotlight, but neither of them is prepared for the challenges of a blended family or their attraction to each other. Who stars in Crashing Through the Snow?
Amy Acker (Maggie)
Acker is best known for her role as Winifred Burkle and Illyria on Angel. She later starred in additional Joss Whedon projects including Dollhouse and Whedon’s version of Much Ado About Nothing. She previously starred in the Hallmark Channel film, A Novel Romance.
Warren Christie (Sam)
The Irish born Christie spent most of his childhood in Canada and currently calls Vancouver his home. He has previously starred in Color of Rain and and If I Only Had Christmas for Hallmark Channel. He currently has recurring roles on The Resident and on Batwoman (as Batman).
Brooke Nevin (Kate)
Nevin has appeared in several Hallmark Channel Christmas films including The Christmas Cure and Jingle Around the Clock. She also appeared in Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From Paris withLove opposite When Calls the Heart’s Kevin McGarry. Her father is retired professional hockey player Bob Nevin.
Kristian Bruun (Jeff)
The Toronto native has had recurring roles on Murdoch Mysteries and on Orphan Black, where he played Donnie Hendrix, the husband to one of the main characters on the show.
