Michelle gave her final rose to Nayte on Season 18 of The Bachelorette, and there were some heavy hints that she was leaning toward him for a while. Michelle said in the previous episode that she felt like Nayte was her “soulmate.” Nayte’s meeting with Michelle’s parents went OK, although Michelle’s dad pointed out in an interview with producers that things were “warmer” when he met with Brandon. Michelle and Nayte met with a shaman on their final date to do a ritual to help bring them closer, and Nayte had trouble opening up. Nayte admitted in an interview with producers that he was “scared” and “nervous” about losing Michelle. Michelle confronted Nayte about his feelings later on the date, and he said that he was scared of losing her. Ultimately, Michelle chose Nayte.

Who did Michelle send home on The Bachelorette Season 18 finale?

Michelle sent Brandon home. Michelle knew how committed Brandon was to their relationship, saying in the beginning of the episode that he would “do anything for me.” Her parents also seemed really impressed with Brandon when they all met up, with Michelle’s dad even welcoming Brandon as a member of the family. Michelle’s mom also said that she would be “so happy” if Michelle chose Brandon in the end, before kissing him on the cheek. Michelle and Brandon had a final date jet-skiing and kissing on the beach, but Michelle said before the date that she wasn’t 100% sure she was in love with Brandon just yet. At the evening part of the date, though, Michelle told Brandon that she was in love with him.  “I’ve been waiting to hear those words for so long,” Brandon said. “This is the greatest love of my entire life.” But Michelle ultimately decided that her connection with Nayte was stronger and sent Brandon home after he proposed. “I truly wish you nothing but happiness, even if it’s not with me,” Brandon said through tears.
